The best ever Tokyo Paralympic for India: Celebrate the Win of Gold, Silver & Bronze Medals

India sets a record by winning total seven medals in Tokyo Paralympic 2021.

On A day of delightful sporting highs, India won 5 medals (2 Gold, 2 Silver & 1 Bronze) in the Paralympic, in a single day in Tokyo. It Is one of the best sporting events for India spreading excitement and pride for all Indians. Avani Lekhara First Ever country’s gold medal winning women athlete in shooter. 

India’s total paralympic medals count is 7, and the best ever we are seeing this year in sports. India took off to set another level in sports by winning medals and our athletes making all India's proud.    

"I can't describe this feeling. I am on top of the world," said Avani, speaking for all of the medal winners. Avani started the day for India with a gold and javelin thrower Sumit Antil ended it with another, along with a world record.

India’s tally of winning medals could have been higher but vinod kumar lost a bronze who had finished third in discus (F52) on sunday, after he found ineligible in disability classification assessment. 

The 2 gold medalists of paralympics Avani and Sumit both make a record. Avani equalled the world record after winning the gold in women’s 10m air rifle standing SH1, while Sumit top finished the men’s javelin (F64), by beating his own world record of 6 meters. 

Yogesh Khatunia won one silver medal in men's discus (F56) and  the other was won by the indefatigable Devendra Jhajaria in men’s javelin (F46) event. In the same event Sunder Singh Gurjar claimed the bronze medal. 

The gold medalist in Tokyo Paralympic 19-year-old Avani, who suffered from spinal cord injuries following a car crash in 2012, showed what it takes for a shooter to finish on the podium at the Games by winning the gold quite convincingly.
