A high-level meeting on Tuesday Conducted by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi with union ministers, cabinet secretary, and other stakeholders to discuss the situation of Class 12 board exams and to review all the possible options for examinations. After meeting the discussion thet takes announced the CBSE and ICSE 12th board examinations have been canceling with the thought that the student’s safety is the prior concern them. Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar and Union Minister of Finance Nirmala Sitharaman was part of the meeting among other members. The COVID-19 Case is increasing day by day it was decided that the class 12th exams would not be held this year.
The CBSE Board schools instructed that take the necessary steps to compile the results of Class 12th students as per well-defined objective criteria in a time-bound manner. Chief executive, CISCE Gerry Arathoon, told The Indian Express that the Class 12 students will now be evaluated through an alternative scheme. “The details of that will be worked out soon and will be available to you,” he said.

The CBSE Board has released an official statement that the postponed Class 12 exams now stand canceled. “Any student who is not satisfied with the assessment has an option to appear in the exam as and when the situation becomes conducive”, reads the official statement by CBSE.
The Prime Minister said as the decision on class 12 exams has been taken in the interest of 12th board students. He said that COVID-19 is affecting the academic calendar and the issue of Board Exams has been causing immense anxiety among students, parents, and teachers, which must be put to an end.
